Sir Arthur Frederick Blakiston, 7th Baronet , MC (b West Derby 16 June 1892 〔(thePeerage.com )〕 – d Salisbury 31 January 1974〔''Deaths'' The Times (London, England), Saturday, Feb 02, 1974; pg. 24; Issue 59004〕) was a rugby union international 〔“Centenary History of the Rugby Union” McWhirter, R/ Titley, U.A: Trowbridge, Redwood press, 1970〕 wing 〔(ESPNscrum.com )〕 who represented England twelve times between 1920 and 1925, and the British Lions in all four test matches during their 1924 tour of South Africa.
Blakiston was educated at Bedford School, Trent College and Emmanuel College, Cambridge.〔 ''Who's Who Vol. VII (1971-80)'' (London, 1981), p. 77〕 He served in the Great War as an officer〔(London Gazette )〕 in the Royal Field Artillery〔(WW1 talk )〕 and was awarded the Military Cross.〔(Edinburgh Gazette )〕 He played for Northampton, Liverpool, Blackheath and the Barbarians.
